Torque Wrench Calibration in Sharjah

Torque wrenches lose accuracy with use. A wrench reading 10% high leaves bolts under-tightened, and joints that fail. On flanges, structural steel and lifting equipment, that is a safety problem before it is a quality problem. Calibration proves your wrenches deliver the torque they show.

Caltech calibrates torque tools from our Sharjah workshop and on customer sites across the UAE. Every tool comes back with a calibration certificate traceable to national standards.

On-site or in our workshop

Torque tools are portable, so workshop calibration at our Sharjah facility is usually quickest and cheapest. For sites with many tools, or where tools cannot leave, we come to you with portable torque testing equipment.

We cover Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Abu Dhabi.

Adjustment and repair

If a wrench is found out of tolerance we will tell you before doing anything else. Many can be adjusted back into specification and recalibrated, which costs far less than replacement. If a tool is beyond economical repair we say so plainly rather than charge you for work that will not hold.

Your calibration certificate

Every certificate shows the tool make, model and serial number, the readings taken at each torque setting, usually at 20%, 60% and 100% of range, the deviation found at each point, measurement uncertainty, the reference standards used and their traceability, the calibration date and the next due date.

Certificates are issued as PDF. We keep a record, so we can reissue one if you lose it.

How often should torque wrenches be calibrated?

Most sites calibrate every 12 months, or every 5,000 cycles, whichever comes first. Calibrate sooner when the wrench is used daily, when it has been dropped or used as a breaker bar, when it is used on safety-critical or pressure-retaining joints, or when your client contract asks for a shorter interval.

A dropped torque wrench should be treated as out of calibration until proven otherwise.

We can set up reminders so your tools never fall out of date.
